Function

Purpose

An Account Development Associate is a sales support position charged with contacting potential customers and arranging sales calls. An Account Development Associate's purpose is not to sell a product or service, but to generate interest which is then followed up by sales professionals.

Account Development Associate will be expected to make approximately 100 calls or more per day and are responsible for keeping records of prospective clients and of their productivity. Account Development Associate's activities are quota-driven requiring a specific number of contacts per day.

Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Essential functions/duties of the position

• Create new business opportunities through an aggressive cold calling effort.
• Accurately qualify potential opportunities and identify influencers and decision makers.
• Clearly understand and communicate the companys value proposition.
• Set appointments for on line presentations product demonstrations.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of the full line of service offerings
• Accurately report the status of all active business opportunities.
• Consistently achieve predetermined activity goals.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required

• Minimum of 2 years successful telesales experience
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent business knowledge required
• Proven telesales goals and quota attainment track record
• Talent for interacting with people at all levels
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• High aptitude for learning new technologies and excelling in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional verbal communication and objection-handling skills
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
• Demonstrate professionalism and lead by example
• Manage multiple tasks and effectively work in a team environment
• A strong desire to build on sales skills and advance sales career
• Strong computer and internet skills
