PCLink! for DOS
PCLink! is a software package developed for IBM PCs and compatibles which allows
the PC the ability to act as a terminal connected to a Unisys mainframe (A, B or
V Series). By careful design, PCLink! requires less than 50KB of memory and is a
Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) based program. This affords the user the luxury
of simultaneously operating a large DOS program while maintaining communications
with the host. Through the use of hot-keys, the user can quickly switch between
their work on the mainframe and their work on the PC without reloading either application.
In addition, PCLink! provides an icon and PIF for operation under Windows. Therefore,
the user can simply initiate PCLink! by clicking an icon just as any other Windows
application. Furthermore, as a majority of stand alone users require a TDI converter
to connect to their host, a TDI converter is provided with the software.
